Mercedes-Benz S-Class (2018 and up)
The Mercedes S-Class takes luxury to new levels. Even the entry-level model has more features than most other high-end models. The updated styling and added tech and safety features for the 2018 model carried over to 2019 along with the new hybrid model. Here is a look at the Mercedes-Benz S Class.
Trim Levels

There are now five trim levels available for the S-Class. The S 450 starts the lineup with 18-inch wheels, power-folding side mirrors with an auto-dimming feature, and a panoramic sunroof. The S 560 and the new S 560e both have many of the same exterior features with some tech upgrades. The AMG S 63 adds some unique exterior trim elements, and the AMG S 65 is the top-level trim with the same features but more power.
Engine

The base engine is a 3.0-liter turbo V-8 with 363 horsepower that works with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The S 560 gets a 4.0-liter V-8 that generates 463 horsepower, and the S 560e has a turbo V-6 and an electric motor. Bumping up to the AMG S 63 has a turbo 4-liter V-8 that delivers 603 horsepower, and if you want even more power, the AMG S 65 has a 6.0-liter V-12 that makes an impressive 621 horsepower.
Performance

No matter which S-Class you drive, you are in for an excellent driving experience. It only takes about five seconds to get up to 60 miles per hour in the base with the 3.0-liter engine, and the power only increases from there. Both the V-6 and the V-8 offer the option for Mercedes 4Matic all-wheel drive system for a better grip on the road. The standard AIRMATIC suspension provides a comfortable ride and cornering precision with its ability to self-level as the load in the car shifts.
Interior

As soon as you slide into the S-Class, you can feel the luxury surrounding you. Leather upholstery comes standard, and as you work your way up through the trims, you'll get even more luxury and convenience features. Multi-contour ventilated front seats, a massaging function, heated and ventilated rear seats, and heated armrests both in the front and back are all available. You can also add the Warmth and Comfort Package for a heated steering wheel and memory functions for the rear seats.
Standard tech includes a 12.3-inch display screen for the reconfigurable instrument panel and a central screen for entertainment. You also get Mercedes COMAND infotainment system, navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charging pad. The S-Class has a fully configurable dashboard and an available 26-speaker Burmester stereo system. There are two pads with smartphone-like controls to access almost all the features in the S Class. This allows you to scroll, swipe, and select what you want with just your right thumb.
Safety Features

The S-Class comes loaded with safety features. Standard equipment includes blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. It also has a drowsy driver system and forward collision alert with emergency braking. The Driver Assistance Package comes with Mercedes' adaptive cruise control system and a semi-automated lane change function.
